Annie-Nominated writer, Kacey Arnold, wrote, produced, and directed her first feature, Your Room or Mine? while still at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts (through which she also interned at Late Night with Conan O’Brien.) After graduation, she went on to work as a script PA at SNL, co-wrote and produced her second indie feature, Last Grave, and added standup comedy to her talent roster.  She continued to gain hands-on experience while serving as an assistant to some of Hollywood’s finest agents, producers, directors, executives, writers, and Showrunners while honing her standup (and her coffee making skills) until she finally became a full-time writer/producer herself.
To date, her top three career highlights are losing an Annie Award to Matt Stone and Trey Parker (thereby learning it really is an honor just to be nominated), getting a self-deprecating Barbie to do a spit take in one of her Barbie movies (before Greta took her so much further), and becoming a Lego Mini Figure(!!) while serving as Co-Producer/Head Writer of LEGO Friends: Girls on a Mission.
Her most personal project was producing and directing the feature documentary A Guy Called Dad about her father’s mental health struggles and her journey of understanding. Kacey is proud the film has been used as a teaching tool by the National Alliance of Mental Illness and enjoys sharing her story to help others. “You can’t have funny without having where it comes from so why not embrace it.”
Recently, Kacey has been focusing on developing her own content for stage, page, and screen including a pilot adaptation of the NY Times best-selling book by Dr. Lois Frankel, Nice Girls Don’t Get the Corner Office (which recently released an updated 20 year anniversary edition), and writing her first book, …That’s Why I’m Single.
In addition to her other film & TV writing for companies like Titmouse, Peacock, Nickelodeon, The Jim Henson Company, MGA, PinkfongUSA, and The Sesame Workshop, Kacey has performed nationally as a comedian, hosted a variety of live shows, and was the face of a national Big Lots campaign. Kacey also hosts a podcast with fellow writer/comedian, David Conolly called Surviving the Dreamthat uncovers the secrets to surviving your dream job. (Which she knows a lot about.)

Kacey very much enjoys that her coping skills are a viable career option.  Pain plus time really does equal humor!
Yay for comedy math!
